This split release is to celebrate the two year anniversary of Formality Trope
The name Formality Trope originated in 2020 when I decided that running an art collective/ record label was the next step in my artistic journey that I wanted to pursue.
The name in essence stands for the mundane boundaries subjectively followed as artists, and that which we, as a collective, oppose and contradict.
In the two years that Formality Trope has been active, the community of artists that have uplifted and participated within the experimental and avant-garde releases and shows have left me with an utmost sense of gratitude. I will continue to work with and for them.
This release between Gus and I is a thank you. For everything we stand for, it is nothing without our community.
